A dream in the hills of the Marche!

A dream! We spent four wonderful days at La Mela Rosa and really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere. Our room was wonderful, very comfortable, perfectly equipped, in a beautiful garden. With a great pool and the best breakfast. The soul of Mela Rosa is the owner Pauline, who anticipated our every wish. It makes the place something very special. Thank you for the wonderful days and the sense of humor, Pauline! We'll be back.

48 hours of relaxation and peace!

Beautiful, secluded accommodation with the most lovely owner ever, who prepared a fantastic vegan breakfast for us and was otherwise absolutely warm and accommodating. We would have loved to stay longer

An all-around wonderful place to stay with a fantastic host in a lesser-known part of Italy

Our stay at Mela Rosa was simply wonderful, even though we booked spontaneously! Pauline is an exceptionally friendly, talkative, and warm-hearted host, and she is wonderfully attentive when it comes to individual wishes. Breakfast was a real highlight every morning. Pauline served local, partly homemade products, and she happily adapted the breakfast to personal preferences. The rooms are tastefully furnished and spotlessly clean. Amandola in the Marche region is only lightly touched by tourism, so you get to experience what feels like the “real” Italy. The surroundings are green and peaceful, perfect for excursions into the Monti Sibillini or some smaller cities nearby like Ascoli Piceno, though a relaxing day by the pool is just as appealing. For the evenings, there are many excellent restaurants nearby, and Pauline is always happy to give tailored recommendations.

We were fully satisfied with our five-day stay at Mela Rosa. The only thing to be aware of is the somewhat remote location. The property is reached via several kilometers of gravel roads, so a reasonably sturdy car is recommended. The nearest highway or main road is also a bit further away, which makes a longer stay all the more worthwhile. For us, however, this was part of the charm and added to the special appeal of the place.

Best breakfasts in Italy!

Pauline's house is amazing! She is a great host: friendly, kind, and funny. The breakfasts are without a doubt the best we have ever tasted in Italy! Every morning she delighted us with homemade desserts, exquisite cakes and biscuits, delicious eggs and wonderful coffee. Every detail is taken care of with love. We highly recommend "La Mela Rosa" to anyone looking for a relaxing and authentic stay. Thanks Pauline!

Feel right at home

If you need to get away from it all, this is the perfect place, nestled in the greenery of the Sibellini Mountains, in a silence that only Mother Nature can offer. A fantastic woman welcomes you and will make you feel right at home. The rooms are super spacious and spotlessly clean, with a bouquet of wildflowers that will inebriate you with their scent. The pool is always spotless and open at any time, not to mention the breakfast, where everything is rigorously homemade by expert hands: cakes, biscuits, jams, everything is delicious.

Thanks, Pauline (I hope that's how you spell it) for the welcome, the conversation, and especially for the biscuits that accompanied me throughout my journey. Kiss, kiss.

Very relaxing atmosphere

We stayed at La Mela Rosa for three nights, and were truly fortunate to find it somewhat by chance.
The house is beautiful, surrounded by nature and the tranquility of the countryside. The room was spotless and fresh, and upon our arrival we even found fragrant roses in the room. The breakfasts were perfect, with homemade biscuits and cakes made by Pauline, who truly deserves our attention for her kindness and helpfulness to us and our dog.
Pauline was a pleasure to meet, also thanks to the wonderful conversations we had, all in a very relaxing atmosphere. We felt right at home.

Above and Beyond

Above and Beyond

La Mela Rosa is a beautiful villa close to town with a delightful Hostess who does her best to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
Her good humour and delicious breakfasts were a great start to each day, and we appreciated her helpful advice about the best places to visit.
We loved touring the un-spoiled gorgeous green rolling hills and meadows of red poppies on our way up to medieval hill-top towns.
Our beautiful Rose decorated room was spotless, and very comfortable including a good hair dryer, and even a a bottles of fresh water with 2 glasses.!! We are definitely coming back we loved it.

Fantastic hostess in a picture perfect setting . We will be back

Idyllic setting. Beautifully landscaped property with lots of rustic charm. There was even an old stone structure used to make vino cotto that was full of frogs. Pool was large and refreshing

Great place

Great place. Pauline was very nice and very friendly. Great breakfast. Utmost tranquility. Very nice swimming pool. I enjoyed the beautiful view, my wife plunged both the afternoon and the next morning, despite the bad weather! It's the place to "pull the plug" from the world, it's near San Ruffino lake very nice.

The Real Italian Experience

What an amazing time we had in Amandola with Pauline Betts owner of B & B La Mela Rosa.
The accommodations were 5 star excellent. Each room fantastic. Comfortable beds and the best quality linen made for a very comfortable sleep after a day exploring the fairy tale like surrounds of the region. The light filled rooms were delightful and waking up in the morning to sunshine and birdsong was like a balm to the weary soul. If you're looking for the true Italian experience - the real Italy - then this is the place to stay. Pauline is a wealth of local information. She organised bookings with local restaurants who cooked us traditional cuisine of the area - all delicious and she also organised for cars to ferry us to and from these restaurants. Pauline supplied us with the most delicious breakfasts each day using fresh local seasonal fruits, crusty toast, local eggs and yogurt and mountain honey to die for. We felt free to wander the property and made great use of the pool facilities enjoying the fantastical views of the surrounding area. At night, we experienced the beautiful fireflies that were buzzing around in their incandescent glory. We were very sad to leave when the day came for us to move on but exceedingly happy to have experienced the sense of being at home while abroad. Thank you Pauline for the best stay of our trip and we look forward to returning with friend's next time.

Perfect house in a fantastic location

We came to La Mela Rosa for a week at the end of May and it has been nothing short of fantastic. A beautiful and tastefully restored farmhouse in the foothills of the Sibillini Mountains. The house is large and comfortable, appointed with everything you might need and nothing you don't. There are no near neighbours so the house feels very secluded and private. The area as a whole is simply beautiful and non - touristy. I'm not sure why because the scenery is as stunning as any in italy as is the food and hospitality. Can't recommend La Mela Rosa and the region highly enough.

Best Bed & Breakfast Monte Sibillini

Just by coincidence we found this fantastic place next to Amandola where the 3 of us spent 2 nights (a couple and a daughter of 8 years). A good starting point to explore Monte Sibillini by foot, mountain bike or jeep. What distinguishes La Mela Rosa from other places are in particular the hosts: Pauline and Robert. The swimming pool has a nice temperature and is a good refreshment after a warm day in the mountains. Even though the outside temperatures did reach, during our visit, almost 35 degrees Celsius, the house and the rooms stayed fresh and cool. The breakfast is more than complete with only home made food. We would have loved to stay longer.

Beautiful B&B – Great Host and Hostess.

Mela Rosa is a wonderful bed and breakfast located a few minutes outside of Amandola and at the foot of the Sibillini Mountains. The house and grounds overlook the surrounding countryside, providing beautiful vistas of farms and fields. Rooms are attractively decorated, comfortable and inviting. The proprietors, Rob and Pauline, are warm and welcoming. They made us feel like we were visiting old friends. They are extremely knowledgeable about the area and made terrific recommendations for restaurants and nearby hikes in the mountains. This is a must if you are staying in the area.
